9 Feb 2008 - Grangemouth success for all

The club took a small group of 10 & 11 year old swimmers to compete in the Grangemouth Jags Graded Meet on February 9th.

The meet was busy with all events having their full quota of swimmers.

 

The kids did brilliantly to get 9 PB's from just 15 entries.

 

On the medal side of it we captured 2 gold, 1 silver & 2 bronzes.

Into the bargain there was a 'speeding ticket' and a 'Best Boy' trophy. All in all a successful day.

 

The PB's / medals / trophies were as follows,

 

Stephen Gibb           Freestyle PB

Leah Harvey             Breast PB & speeding ticket, IM PB

Lisa McLean             Fly PB and bronze medal

Olivia Ritchie           Back PB & IM PB and gold medal

Fergus Ingledew      Fly / IM / Back all PB's and gold / silver / bronze medals and Best Boy trophy.

 

As has become the usual when the kids represent their club, they were all really well behaved and allowed coaches John and Lee-Anne to enjoy the gala as much as the kids.
