We held the second of our three annual galas on Saturday 9th June when we hosted the Stars of the Future gala for 8 to 12 year olds.

The event was very well attended with 23 teams coming from as far away as Shetland in the North to Duns in the South.

This was a 'hot' event in more ways than one with the performances that the swimmers produced and also in the soaring temperatures inside Olympia.

 

Top stars from our own club are detailed below with special note going to our medallists Claire Stewart with a well earned bronze in the 12 year old category, Rachael Keenan having a brilliant swim to take gold and Finlay McGillivray and Alex Sharpe taking three medals between them in the 11 year olds. Pride of place goes to Molly Redford who showed that she is a real all rounder with golds in all five of her events and also taking the Best Girl trophy in the 10 & U category.

 

In the best club scrap, we were having a battle for 2nd and 3rd place with Perth. We finally managed to pull ahead into 2nd with only a very strong contingent from Banchory proving to good with a 26 point margin to take the Best Club trophy.
