1 Sep 2007 - September Sprints get new swimming season underway
This Midlands District swimming season got underway with the September Sprints and boy did Dundee City Aquatics get off to a great start.
It would be wrong to single out any particular swimmer because every swimmer swam so well. This was proven by the fact that we had 123 personnel bests and this doesn't include where swimmers broke their own PB's in finals after having done so in heats.
In total we won 35 gold, 31 silver and 17 bronze. On the way to this grand total, 3 swimmers set new Midlands District records.
On top of this we had both Junior and Senior 100IM male and female champions.
As if that was not enough, our swimmers won all four individual sprint cups awarded for fastest female 50m freestyle, Junior & Senior male 50m freestyle and fastest male butterfly.
