10 Feb 2007 - Premier team off to a flyer

DCA hosted the first  of the five Premier League galas on Sat 10th Feb 07 at Olympia. A tough battle followed where we took the lead early on only to be overtaken by the strong Perth City (Blues) who are defending Premier League champions. There were some great performances from all age groups who contributed to there never being more than ten points between the two teams. As we entered the last set of relays, 1st position was up for grabs and although we were down going into the third last event, we pulled through to scrape a narrow victory winning all three and shading it by just three points.

Forfar also put up a good showing to narrowly take third spot ahead of St Thomas, whilst the Perth 2nd team who came up from Division 1 had some good performances but didn't manage to field a team in all the relays which invariably proves costly.

A great start for DCA, let's hope our Premier team follows up with more success in the other galas and lead by example for our 1st and 2nd Division teams.
